The Kind Cloud Farm Rebellion(Day 31)

*This was the very first novel I wrote. I started it in 1999 and finished the first draft in 2003. After several years of failed attempts to shop it around to literary agents and publisher I finally gave up. I still think it is a good first novel, so I’ve decided to share it here on Medium. Enjoy!
Chapter 10–11 (Day 31)
With the protest seemingly on its last legs Cross had put the Seven Golden Cities project into high gear. A large triple wide construction trailer was moved into Hip-In Meadow and Cross took up permanent residence there. Nearly every day after the protest had ended in the tomato throwing incident Geezer and the rest of Kind Cloud Farm could feel themselves loosing more ground to Cross. As the restraining order began to drag Kind Cloud Farm’s motivation down Cross stepped up the construction in Trajico Bay. A barge was towed into the mouth of the bay by black and yellow tug boat. The tug and barge anchored just outside the reef in preparation for the building of the pier that Geezer had seen on the sign in Hip-In Meadow the first day the construction crews had shown up. Three days later explosions began battering the reef. Diver started placing charges forty feet down at the base of the reef to break it up.
