From what I’ve read as an Indie publisher you need an email list of 1000 people or more, at least 20 books for sale, and preferably a series in a popular genre (assuming you are writing fiction.).

That is where most of my focus is going to be from now on. I’ll use Medium too try and promote my books, but I’m not going to make a lot of effort to write new stuff for them anymore.
