Ironically, I noticed it changed dramatically soon after the MPP was started. I joined Medium about two months before they rolled that out. During those two months, two of my short stories were featured. I got emails from Medium saying how much they loved them and that they were waiving my subscription costs for that month as a reward. Since the MPP started, nothing. And I’m sure the quality of my writing has gotten worse. If anything, it has probably gotten better.

Medium doesn’t seem to give a shit though. Writers and publication owners with a lot more juice than me have complained about it and nothing has changed. I wish someone would build a site similar to Medium that was exclusively for creative writers.

I’m sure I could bring in at least 50k writers and readers to something like that just from my own followers and from the writers on all the FB writing groups I’m an active member of.
