I read a lot of the articles some of the bigger names here on Medium were saying about NB before I accepted their invite. Everyone seemed to think that NB’s payment system was as you said, just a way to try and build a quick readership. I think for writers it was just a quick money grab as well.

I wish they would have tried to make it into more, maybe a writing platform where good writers are actually rewarded for their efforts, but the latest changes they have made shows that clearly isn’t what it is about for them.
