I know the feeling. My current novel was rejected by over 50 lit agents. And yet my beta-readers, all of whom are excellent novelists themselves, and who wouldn’t lie to avoid hurting my feelings, all loved it.

I guess if a novel doesn’t have Harry Potter, Twilight, 50 Shades of Grey, or something else lit agents and publishers think is catchy they aren’t interested anymore.
