I hope you are right, but creative writers and many publication owners who publish poetry and fiction have been screaming about this since the MPP was rolled out two years ago. Medium doesn’t seem to be listening at all. If they were they would have created an in-house literary journal by now. At the very least we would see some poetry and short stories on the front page every day. I’ve only seen one ever and it was written by a famous novelist. I don’t read Medium’s in house pubs much, but the one poem I heard about getting published there was written by a friend of someone high up at Medium and a giant internet influencer. And I have to say compared with many of the excellent Indie poets I read everyday, it was crap.

I hope this does work out and all the writers on Medium benefit from it. I’m going to give it about 4–5 months and if I see a significant drop then I’m out of here.
