I haven’t tried improv, but I’ve been doing stand up comedy for about four years now. I suppose responding to an audience member that shouts something out during your set is a little bit like improv in that you have to think on your feet.

I really enjoyed reading this article. Very interesting stuff. There is an improv group in Osaka that does workshops in English and Japanese. I might have to go down there and give it a try.
