Curation was just the new carrot on a stick to replace Top Writer Status once most of us realized it was meaningless bull shit. Same with the recent $500 bonus, I think. Medium doesn't care that much about its writers. If it (they) did then they wouldn't be killing off PSILY and other publications that have always been there to actually try and help writers make a name for themselves.
