Books have been and will continue to be banned by both the Extremist Left and the Extremist Right.

You come across as pretty biased to me. Are you upset that books are being banned or just because books you personally like are being banned? If it is really about banning books in a democratic society then why didn't you include a list of books, many of them Pulitzer and Noble Prize winners, that have been banned by the religious Right?
